Junior Carpenter for Furniture and Wood Work

Job is for basic carpentry work, primarily with pine lumber and MDF for furniture building. 
Work is in a shop environment. 

JOB DUTIES: 
- You will be making custom furniture to order to precise measurements. 
- Work includes table saw, miter saw, drilling, sanding, staining and painting. Occasionally odd jobs may be required.
- All projects are of the same complexity. There is a maximum time allotted for projects and meeting deadlines is mandatory. 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 
- Must have working experience with power tools. Preference to individuals with carpentry or wood work schooling
- Fluent reading of drawings, imperial measurements and plans. 
- Must be able to work independently. 
- Must have high standard of expectations of quality but work efficiently.
- Must provide an experience history of similar work. ie Portfolio, photos.

WAGE:
Paid biweekly. Based on experience (negotiable)

Junior Shop Maintenance

Job is well suited for a student for after-school work part time
Work is in a shop environment. 

JOB DUTIES: 
- Work includes shop organization, barn board cleaning, cleanup and small woodworking projects.
- Occasionally odd jobs may be required.

   
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 
- A knowledge of shop equipment and tooling an asset but not mandatory
- Must be able to occasionally lift loads of up to 50lbs.  
- Must be able to work independently. 


WAGE:
Paid biweekly. Based on experience (negotiable)
